MEA also estimated that the average 200,000 to 300,000 fresh students go abroad every year. India is the second-largest source of overseas students in the world after China.  Indian students spend between $7 billion and $12 billion a year on tuition, boarding, lodging, trave

Indian and Chinese Conflicts Leading Towards War

Image
The Chinese have continuously deceived India in the name of peace and trade. In times of crisis, the Chinese government and its military have succeeded in instilling a false sense of trust in the Indian government and its agencies because of Indian desire to settle the matters peacefully. Whenever the Chinese government engaged in any negotiations with India, they were also scheming to seize Indian territories and, it has not only proven with India but also in case of Tibet and all other neighbouring countries of China. We can see in past and present all Chinese actions in a way a conspiracy towards India.  Whenever the Chinese government engaged in any negotiations with India, they were also scheming to seize Indian territories Sadly, Tibetans believed in India as they have chosen India for their guidance and protection of their cultural and territorial integrity, perhaps, India successfully protected their cultural and traditional values but have failed to free them from the clutches

Truth and non-violence are the only weapons to fight injustice!

Gandhi's Peaceful Protest in 1934 and Violent Protest in 2020  The mass gathering at a time of COVID19 epidemic, looting, breaking windows, burning property, and stealing goods in the name of humanity in major American cities is equally disturbing as the inhuman killing of George Floyd. The peace-loving and law-abiding citizens can not support this lawlessness. The institutional racial discrimination is a menace and world need to have a priority in eradicating it.  The importance of Gandhian non-violence is increasing day by day. These days even superpowers feel insecure, the universal presence of injustice, terrorism, religious fanatism makes people realise that powerful states are failing to their fundamental duty to protect their citizens.  Gandhi's non-violence tool become a mass movement which defeated powerful colonial powers that liberated millions This is a time we need to go back to Gandhian values, as Gandhi used non-violence as a powerful tool at individual and commu

Discrimination and Racism Exist Everywhere!

Image
Today Leo Vardkar An Taoiseach (Prime Minister) made a very powerful statement in the Dáil Éireann (Irish Parliament) to condemn racism and discrimination.  We do not need to look across the Atlantic to find racism. We have many examples in our own country. Discrimination on the basis of skin colour is pernicious....  "In recent days the world has watched in horror the events following the killing of George Floyd. It has prompted a palpable outpouring of emotion and spontaneous expressions of solidarity against the poison of racism. We have also seen genuine revulsion at the heavy-handed response in some instances towards peaceful protesters and journalists." Racism too is a virus, transmitted at an early age, perpetuated by prejudice, sustained by systems...... "We have witnessed the absence of moral leadership or of words of understanding, comfort or healing from whence they should have come. It is right to be angered by injustice. Racism too is a virus, transmitted at

The number of people infected with this virus in India exceeding over two hundred twenty-five thousand. India currently holds 7th position in terms of infected people in the world, with these trends India may leave behind Italy, the United Kingdom and Spain.                                    Perhaps in terms of per million casualties, India is a good example The rate of infection is increasing, it is clear that the epidemic that has arisen from this dangerous virus is penetrated in the communities, and we are not in a position to get rid of it soon. Despite this, it is a matter of relief for the people that more than one hundred thousand people in India have been cured, after defeating this disease and the rate of recovery from this infection has also reached close to 50 per cent. At the same time countries with strong public health infrastructure, the patie

Can there be an India-China war?

Image
T he people are apprehensive as the situation for a  war between India and China? We have the following reasons for this. The news of aggression between the two countries from Ladakh is coming on an hourly basis. The Prime Minister of India held serious discussions with the Generals and National Security Advisor. At a time the severity of the Corona crisis, what is the meaning of spending hours on India-China issues by the government? The most important Chinese side is mobilising Chinese forces at three to four places near the Indian borders of Ladakh and Sikkim. China has already built strong roads, bunkers and military bases in its cross-border areas. What could be the reason for such withdrawal of its citizens from a country?  N ow China has increased the number of troops at every checkpoint. There was a sudden announcement recently, to take back Chinese employees and businessmen working in India. What could be the reason for such withdrawal of its citizens from a country? An

The COVID-19 has spread in almost all countries of the world. India and China are the largest countries in the world, but when we look at the figures of the whole world, we feel that India is at the forefront of fighting the pandemic. Today, the patience and resilience that 1.3 billion people of India are presenting are unique. Millions of working-class Indians got stranded on their way back to their homes. They are following government health advisory and for the last three weeks, they have been spending their time in tents and camps. All government, agencies and voluntary organisations are engaged in their help day and night. Indian political, social, religious, industrial leadership is not only very constructive, but they also have to be praised that in this time of crisis they are working as one voice and supporting the government. Wherever curfew is imposed in the country, government employees and volunteer are going to homes and distributing food and necessary go

Irish Electoral System Is Unique In The World

Image
L-R  Micheál Martin,  Leo Varadkar and  Mary Louise McDonald at Leaders Debate Ireland's single transferrable vote system of proportional representation (PR-STV) is one of the most logical, flexible and democratic systems anywhere in the world. This system encourages electorates to choose the candidate or party they like best. In situation, if candidates have no chance of being elected, then using their preferences to ensure that their vote moves on to a candidate with a real chance of winning the seat to the Dáil (Irish Parliament). While it is not strictly proportional, perhaps it is much fairer than the straight vote system of other democracies in the world. Voter (s) can vote all candidates on the ballot paper Maximise the impact of each vote. It is best to give every candidate a preference. A voter may provide first preference to the candidate voter most want to see elected and then in descending order of preference down to the one voter like least. In other words, vot
