Lifestyle and Home Remedies

The communities around the world are fighting with the COVID-19 pandemic.  In India, print and electronic media have started promoting the home remedies that increase the body's immunity. Families in India are boiling ginger, lemon, basil, turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, gilloy, neem, cumin and honey. Then giving a cup of this medicated warm water to all the family members. This preparation will help in fighting any infectious bacteria. Be it Corona or cold and flu. This warm drink cannot cause any harm.

Indian spices are part of our daily food and these spices boost immunity. The people in India are well aware of these spices as they are our home remedies.

Researchers in the United States research institute has concluded that people should not eat after six o'clock in the evening. These researchers did many experiments and found that after 6 pm the digestive system becomes inactive, reduced digestive juices are produced, intestines start to shrink and the effect of the hormone insulin is also reduced. When we eat at least one of the ten cells of the intestines get damaged. If we eat dinner late in the night and breakfast in the morning, then those cells will not get sufficient healing time. This results in heart problem and diabetes.

We don't know if people will accept this routine as advised by American researchers. Globally breakfast time is 7-9 am, lunch at 1-2 pm and dinner at 8-10 pm.

It is important if 1.3 billion people in India make discipline in their food and exercise every day, and use traditional social distancing and oral and hand hygiene. These simple lifestyle changes will promote health and wellness, as it is rightly said that "prevention is better than cure".
